#1: Project in Japan
An international law firm needed to collect and review over 1 million documents
from their client’s offices in view of an upcoming litigation case. The documents
were stored in offices in two different locations in Japan. Majority of them contained
various Asian languages; namely Japanese, Bahasa Indonesia, Korean, and Chinese.
Due to the short notice, the law firm was unable to find any suitable litigation support
vendors in Japan. DMC was then activated to fly in a Project Manager and over 10
operators from Singapore & Taiwan with various equipments, to set up operations in
the client’s office.
Given the high volume and various complexities, the entire project was divided into
three phases, which spread over 14 months with 1-2 months hiatus between phases.
The project commenced in June 2007 and was completed in August 2008. A total of
2 million pages were scanned and 1 million documents coded, translated and
exported to Ringtail Case Review System.

#2: Project in Guangzhou, China
An international law firm needed to collect and review over 2.2 million documents from their client’s storage place for an upcoming litigation case. 80% of the documents were in simplified Chinese and
the rest in English. In preparation for collection and scanning, DMC set up an off-site processing
centre in Guangzhou consisting of a Project Manager and over 40 operators. The documents were
then transported progressively from the client’s storage place to DMC’s processing centre.
The project commenced in September 2008 and was completed in April 2009. Despite the
unexpected huge increase in volume, DMC was able to complete the project well within the
committed timeframe. A total of 5 million pages were scanned and 2.2 million documents unitized,
coded and exported to the Introspect Review System.
